Metabolic syndrome (MS) doubles the risk of cor-onary artery disease. The prevalence of MS in general Saudi pop-ulation is 40%; low HDL cholesterol is the most prevalentcriterion. No studies for MS prevalence done on Saudi populationwith coronary artery disease.
