摘要

An overview about structural and magnetic properties of Tb and Al substituting yttrium iron garnet (TbxY3-xFe5O12 and TbxAlyY3-xFe5-yO12) thin film with nano particles has been introduced. We report some defects such as stress and strain that occurred in the thin films during both the preparation and annealing process. The magnetization of YIG comes from two Fe ions in tetrahedral and octahedral sites, the YIG therefore have a low magnetization. The substituting YIG with magnetic materials to enhance the saturation magnetization and coercivity of garnet in thin films form is also reported.
