As for China and Mongolia's energy situation, China, as a net importer of energy, has the high dependence degree for energy import, especially with increasing proportion of oil and gas resources in the overall energy import year by year. However, Mongolia and Russia, as net energy exporters, have rich energy reserves. Therefore, with the profound change of political and economic situation in the world, deepening cooperation in the field of energy conforms to the requirements of time and their concerns in the overall context of the construction for Sino-Mongolian economic corridor proposed in the Belt and Road.
