ThePISAresultsforIndonesianStudentsarelowestamongAsiancountriesinthepasttwosuccessiveresults.ThereforevariousInnovationsinsciencelearningprocessanditseffectivenessenhancingstudent'sscienceliteracyisneededtoenrichmiddleschoolscienceteachers.LiteracystrategieshavebeenimplementedonhealthtechnologiesthemelearningtoenhanceIndonesianJuniorhighschoolStudent'sPhysicsliteracyinthreedifferenthealthtechnologiese.g.LasiksurgerythatassociatedwithapplicationofLightandOpticsconcepts,UltraSonographer(USG)associatedwithapplicationofSoundwaveconceptsandWorkoutwithstationarybikeandwalkingassociatedwithapplicationofmotionconcepts.Sciencelearningprocessinvolvesatleastteacherinstruction,studentlearningandasciencecurriculum.Wedesigntwomainpartofliteracystrategiesineachthemebasedlearning.FirstpartisIntegratedReadingWritingTask(IRWT)isgiventothestudentsbeforelearningprocess,thesecondpartisscientificinvestigationlearningprocessdesignpackedinProblemBasedLearning.Thefirstpartistoenhancestudent'sscienceknowledgeandreadingcomprehensionandthesecondpartistoenhancestudent'ssciencecompetencies.WedesignatransformationfromcomplexityofphysicslanguagetoMiddleschoolphysicslanguageandfromanexpensiveandcomplexscienceinvestigationtoalocalmaterialandsimplyhandsonactivities.Inthispaper,weprovidebrieflyhowliteracystrategiesproposedbypreviousworksisredesignedandappliedinclassroomsciencelearning.Datawereanalysedusingt-test.Theincreasingvalueofmeanscoresineachlearningdesign(withasignificancelevelofp=0.01)showsthattheimplementationofthisliteracystrategyrevealedasignificantincreaseinstudents'physicsliteracyachievement.AdditionanalysisofAvaragenormalizedgainshowthateachlearningdesignisinmedium-gcourseseffectivenesscategoryaccordingtoHake'sclassification...
