摘要

Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) is a rhizomatous perennialcrop from the ginger family (Zingiberaceae), commonly known asCurcuma, Curcum, Haridra and Indian saffron. Turmeric is a uniqueingredient which can be used as a spice, colorant, and flavorant. It ismost majorly used in south east part of Asia. This study deals withmachine which work efficiently to clean the turmeric without boilingand steaming as the process of boiling and steaming, lots ofimportant chemical get lost which decrease the quality of theturmeric. Turmeric has various vital essential oils and nutrientswhich get removed during the process of boiling and steaming. Thedevelopment of such processing device will help the farmer toprocess the produce quickly and retain the best nutritional profile.
