摘要

The objective of this paper is the highlighting of the main aspects that be considered in pa?rametric modelling of the ROPS/FOPS protective structures in order to study of their behaviour using finite element method. In first part of the paper are presented, briefly, the main reference documents governing the mechanical protection of the human operator of machinery and equipment construction. Also, is presented the scheme of the optimization process of protective structures using CAD and FEA platforms. Next, is presented a parametric analysis of the protective struc?tures geometry, in order to determine the main geometric parameters that define the geometry of these structures. These geometrical parameters are used in a case study where the geometry for a protective structure was generated using a CAD platform. In final part of the article are to present conclusions
