Assignment of linkage segments to the satellite chromosomes 4 and 7 in Pisum sativum

In pea (Pisum sativum), the gene wsp is unlinked to the segment containing the genes tl, r, and bt. The wsp-sil segment and the wa-oh segment were found to be located in separate satellite chromosomes. A study of the meiotic configurations appearing in crosses between translocation lines, combined with linkage studies, indicates that the linkage segments: a-d, wa-oh, b-st, le-v, gp-tl, p-wlo, and wsp-sil belong to independent linkage groups.
