How to Help Children (Not) to Hate Books a??In the Beginning Was a Nappya?|a?? (Abbreviation of the Term a??Napkina?? the One Commonly Used in the British Isles; the Item of Childrena??s Clothing Called a??Diaper a??in the USA.) The Pedagogy of Reading at the Time of Emme Edizioni
How to help children (not) to hate books is a title inspired by an article written in the 1970a??s by Pinin Carpi who sought to describe the state of publications for children in Italy back then. This paper aims at investigating the role played by Rosellina Archinto and Emme Edizioniin launching a whole new approach to picture books for children and the promotion of preschool reading in this country.
