Wedevelopedadual-linear-polarizationHEMT(HighElectronMobilityTransistor)amplifierreceiversystemofthe45-GHzband(hereafterZ45),andinstalleditintheNobeyama45-mradiotelescope.Thereceiversystemisdesignedtoconductpolarizationobservationsbytakingthecross-correlationoftwolinearlypolarizedcomponents,fromwhichweprocessfullStokesspectroscopy.WeaimtomeasurethemagneticfieldstrengththroughtheZeemaneffectoftheemissionlineofCCS(JNa€‰=a€‰43a€“32)towardpre-protostellarcores.Alinear-polarizationreceiversystemhasasmallercontributionofinstrumentalpolarizationcomponentstotheStokesVspectrathanthatofthecircularpolarizationsystem,sothatitiseasiertoobtaintheStokesVspectra.ThereceiverhasanRFfrequencyof42a€“46a€‰GHzandanintermediatefrequency(IF)bandof4a€“8a€‰GHz.Thetypicalnoisetemperatureisabout50a€‰K,andthesystemnoisetemperaturerangesfrom100to150a€‰Koverthefrequencyof42a€“46a€‰GHz.Thereceiversystemisconnectedtotwospectrometers,SAM45andPolariS.SAM45isahighlyflexibleFX-typedigitalspectrometerwithafinestfrequencyresolutionof3.81??kHz.PolariSisanewlydevelopeddigitalspectrometerwithafinestfrequencyresolutionof60??Hz,andwhichhasacapabilitytoprocessthefull-Stokesspectroscopy.Thehalf-powerbeamwidth(HPBW)wasmeasuredtobe37a€3at43a€‰GHz.ThemainbeamefficiencyoftheGaussianmainbeamwasderivedtobe0.72at43a€‰GHz.TheSiOmaserobservationsshowthatthebeampatternisreasonablyroundatabout10%ofthepeakintensityandtheside-lobelevelwaslessthan3%ofthepeakintensity.Finally,wepresentsomeexamplesofastronomicalobservationsusingZ45.
