摘要

The present paper deals with the detection of pollutant trace gases in theenvironmental air from enclosed spaces. The targeted spaces were subway network ofBucharest, representative for urban agglomeration, and some technologizedgreenhouse as characteristics feature of the modern rural area. The pollutant detectionwas performed by laser based photoacoustic spectroscopy where a CO2 laser wasemployed as radiation source. Our study investigated the concentration levels ofvarious air pollutants: carbon dioxide, methanol, ethanol, ammonia, ethylene andwater, within metro cars at rush hours and in intensive greenhouse agriculture for acomplete cycle of a plant growth.
