：This article discussed the necessity of development of "medical treatment combined with care" pension mode and the urgency of core competence improvement of pension caregivers under the serious situation of population aging from the aspects of the mode of medical treatment combined with care, pension caregivers and their core competence, and the status quo at home and abroad, so as to further lay the foundation of building assessment system and training patterns for core competence of pension caregivers suitable for China's national conditions.
