Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of external fixator on treatment efficacy and prognosis of pelvic fracture patients. Methods A total of 75 patients with pelvic fracture from January 2007 to March 2015 were selected as observation group, another 75 pelvic fracture patients before January 2007 were included in the control group. The patients in the observation group were given external fixator, and the control group didn′t apply external fixator. Treatment effect and healing of two groups were observed. Results The hospitalization time, off-bed time and fracture healing time of patients in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (P0.05); After 1 year of follow-up, the incidence rate of infection, walking pain, deformity and other complications in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P0.05). Conclusion Application of external fixator in the emergency treatment of pelvic fracture can improve the treatment efficacy and recovery of fracture, and reduce the incidence of complications and sequelae, so it is conducive to long-term prognosis of patients.
