：Objective To evaluate the core competence-oriented training and practice for nurses in disaster relief. Methods 〓According to the core competence in disaster relief nursing and current status of nurses, the training process and contents were set out by literature review, questionnaire-based investigation and experts review methods. The multi-station teaching method and evaluation mechanism were also carried out. The knowledge about disaster relief nursing and core competence of emergency nursing were assessed before and after the training. Results 〓Nurses achieved higher scores of assessment on knowledge and core competence about disaster relief nursing after training(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The core competence-oriented training could effectively improve the core competence of nurses in disaster relief.
