Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of early functional training overcoming pain threshold on rehabilitation of patients after surgical treatment for fractures around knee joint. Methods Totally 60 patients undergoing surgical treatment for fractures around knee joint were assigned to the control group and intervention group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine care and functional training after operation, and the early functional training overcoming pain threshold was carried out in the intervention group. The effect of intervention on knee joint function, Barthel index assessment and range of motion(ROM)were observed and compared between two groups 3 months after operation. Results The excellent and good rate of knee joint function was 93.33%(28/30)in the intervention group and was 76.67%(23/30), with a significant difference(P0.05). Patients in the intervention group had a higher score of Barthel index assessment and better ROM of knee joint compared with those in the control group(P0.01). Conclusion Application of early functional training overcoming pain threshold may improve there habilitation of knee joint function in patients after surgical treatment for fractures around knee joint, so as to improve the activity of daily living.
