Abstract:Objective To investigate the efficacy of evidencebased nursing in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) complicated with arrhythmia. Methods A total of 64 patients with arrhythmia following acute myocardial infarction were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, with 32 cases in each group. Both two groups were given conventional nursing care and the evidencebased nursing was performed in the study group. The bedridden time, length of stay, hospital cost and arrhythmia recurrence rate were compared between two groups. Selfmade questionnaire was used to assess the disease control rate and satisfaction of patients to nursing service. Results The study group had shorter bedridden time, shorter length of stay and less hospital cost compared with the control group (P<0.05). There were 2 cases of arrhythmia recurrence in study group and 8 cases in the control group, with a significant difference (P<0.05). The disease control rate and nursing satisfaction rate were significantly higher in the study group than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Evidencebased nursing can reduce the risk of arrhythmia recurrence and improve the prognosis of patients with AMI complicating arrhythmia.
