Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of fast-track surgery theory on rehabilitation of patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy with indwelling double-J stent. Methods A total of 80 patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy with indwelling double-J stent were assigned to the study group and control group according to the sequence of admission, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional nursing on rehabilitation, while the study group was applied with nursing intervention base on fast-track surgery theory. The length of stay, cost of hospitalization, incidence of complications and satisfaction to nursing service were compared between two groups. Results Patients in the study group had shorter length of stay and lower cost of hospitalization compared with those in the control group(P0.05). The incidence of urine extravasation was lower in the study group than that of controls(P0.05). The satisfaction rate was higher in the study group than that of controls(P0.05). Conclusion Nursing measures based on fast-track surgery theory can reduce the risk of complication and improve the rehabilitation in patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy with indwelling double-J stent.
