:Objective To investigate the effect of Chinese herbal foot-bath combined with glycerin enema in treatment of postpartum urinary retention. Methods 〓Totally 160 postpartum women suffering from urinary retention were assigned to the observation group and the control group, with 80 cases in each group. The glycerin enema was adopted for the treatment of postpartum urinary retention in the control group, while the combined treatment of Chinese herbal foot-bath combined and glycerin enema was carried out in the observation group. The time to urination after intervention was recorded, and efficacy of intervention in relieving urinary retention was assessed. Results 〓The overall efficacy of the treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The Chinese herbal foot-bath combined with glycerin enema can effectively relieve the urinary retention and promote the rehabilitation of bladder function in postpartum women.
