:Objective To understand the prevention and nursing experience of neurosurgical nurses on postoperative lower-limb deep venous thrombosis(DVT)after craniotomy, and to provide theoretical basis for effective nursing intervention of DVT. Methods 〓Qualitative research method was adopted to conduct one-to-one semi-structured interview with 8 neurosurgerical nurses. Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis method was used to collate and analyze the interview content. Results 〓Four themes were inducted, which were the patient's knowledge of the disease, the importance of nurse's predictive nursing evaluation, difficulties in the prevention and nursing measures of lower-limb DVT, lack of sensitivity and specificity in the risk assessment tools of DVT. Conclusion 〓It is required to enhance the healthcare education, improve patients' disease awareness, implement preventive nursing measures, and formative sensitive risk assessment tools for DVT.
