Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of neonatal positioning support package on weight gain of premature infants. Methods A total of 100 premature infants were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 50 cases in each group. Both two groups received neonatal nursing care, while the positioning support package was applied in the observation group. The body weight of premature infants was assessed at time of birth, one week and two weeks after birth. Results The body weight of neonates in the observation group was higher than that of neonates in the control group at one week and two weeks after birth, with a significant difference(P0.05). Conclusion Application of neonatal positioning support package is potentially effective to promoting weight gain of premature infants.
