Abstract:Objective To summarize the perioperative nursing management of uterine artery embolization for intractable postpartum hemorrhage. Nurses carried out sufficient preparation and psychological counseling before operation, cooperated with surgeons during operation, and monitored the vital signs, uterine contraction, colporrhagia of patients after operation. Preventive measures on complications and health education were also carried out. Results 〓The postpartum hemorrhage of 12 patients was stopped immediately after uterine artery embolization, and hemorrhage of another 2 patients was stopped after 5 to 7 days. The complications mainly included abdominal pain in 6 cases, lower limb numbness in 2 cases, low grade fever in 3 cases. There was no long-term postpartum hemorrhage and complication reported during 6-month follow-up.
