Abstract:Objective To observe the application of titanium stents with mesh structure in external auditory canal reconstruction, and to summarize cooperative nursing measures before and after surgical treatment. Methods 〓Totally 9 cases(9 ears )of congenital aural atresia received external auditory canal reconstruction. The titanium stents with mesh structure was adopted to support the reconstructed external auditory canal, and it was removed at 1 year after operation. Nursing management included psychological care, surgical preparation, vital sign monitoring, sterilized operation, surgical position care, negative pressure drainage management and health education before discharge. Results 〓After 2 years’ follow-up, there was no patient with recurrence of external auditory canal atresia or stricture. Conclusion 〓Application of titanium stents with mesh structure is effective to prevent the recurrence of atresia or stricture after external auditory canal reconstruction. The perioperative nursing management is equally impartment for the rehabilitation.
