Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of modified umbilical compress therapy in treatment of constipation of patients with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome unstable angina pectoris. Methods 〓Totally 62 Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome unstable angina pectoris patients with constipation were assigned to the observation group(n=31)and the control group(n=31), with conventional umbilical compress and modified umbilical compress treatment, respectively. Patients were investigated by Patient Assessment of Constipation Symptoms(PAC-SYM)at admission, 7 days and 14 days after intervention. Results 〓The PAC-SYM score of patients in the observation group were lower than those of controls at 7 days and 14 days after intervention(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The modified umbilical compress therapy is potentially effective to relieve the constipation of patients with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome unstable angina pectoris.
