Abstract:Objective To investigate the synergistic effect of greetings-self-introduction-process-explanation-gratitude(AIDET)communication model on pain control in patients with bone marrow aspiration. Methods 〓Totally 116 patients of bone marrow aspiration were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 58 cases in each group. AIDET communication model was used in the experimental group and conventional communication mode was used in the control group. The differences of blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, oxyhemoglobin saturation, pulse, pain value and satisfactory degree on nursing were compared between the two groups. Results 〓There were no significant differences in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, oxyhemoglobin saturation, heart rate and respiratory rate between the two groups at the beginning of aspiration(P0.05). During aspiration, the respiratory rate of patients in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P0.05). After aspiration, the oxyhemoglobin saturation of patients in the experimental group was higher than in that in the control group(P0.05). The degree of pain induced by aspiration in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P0.05). Patients in the experimental group were more satisfied with nursing service compared with those of the control group(P0.01). Conclusions 〓AIDET communication mode shows the synergistic effect on pain control and improve the satisfaction of patients with bone marrow aspiration.
