The present paper analyses the influence on growth, production and wood properties of several intensity thinning treatments carried out in a Pinus sylvestris L. reforestation. Because of thinning, a reduction in number of trees between 60-62 p. 100 has been made with the more intensive treatments. Significant differences in currnet diametral growth among treatments are detected. In this way, current diametral growths increase as diameter class increases and as intensity of thinning increases. Basal area total growth is similar to control in all treatments, and neither volume production total shows significant differences among treatments. Differences in growth ring width resulting from thinning are no accompanied by significant differences in latewood percentage, and wood basic density, as well as the range of last one for different directions inside same section of the stem.
