Mission: why? Covenant as answer In this article we probe the possibilities of a covenantal approach towards Reformed mission theology. Dogmatically the interrelationship between covenant and creation is focused upon from a structure-analytical perspective on covenant. Missiologically a covenantal approach towards mission is developed – an approach in which the missio dei and the missiones ecclesiae are interlinked regarding the forensic foundation of mission. In conclusion the relevance of covenantal cult and law for mission is emphasized.
