In the crystal of the title molecular salt, C16H34N5 + Cl, (100) bilayers arise in which the tetradecylamino ‘tails’ (which adopt extended conformations) interdigitate and the triazolium ‘heads’ associate with the chloride anions through N—HCl hydrogen bonds.
