摘要

This work studied the use of sewage sludge in the city of Po?os de Caldas – MG, in agricultural activities. An incubation test of 30 days duration was performed with 8 treatments using 1 kg of soil mixed with to 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 g.kg-1 corresponding to 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 e 70 t.ha-1 of residue, mixed with moist soil and water in its full capacity for further analysis. The values found in the study refered to pH, K, P, S, Ca, Mg, B, H+Al e %V. Another study was made in a greenhouse using vases and the same type of soil, using beans as a test plant. It was performed with 8 treatments and 3 repetitions using 0, 40, 80, 120, 160, 200, 240 and 280 g.vase-1 of sludge, correponding to 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 e 70 t.ha-1. After 86 days the green mass of aery part, root’s weight, the total weight and the amount of beans and grains per treatment were determined. It was verified that the use of sewage sludge in agriculture, precisely in beans plantation, can substitute a conventional fertilization, if it is used within the rules demanded by regulatory organs.
