摘要

In this paper, free vibration analysis of functionally graded skew plates with circular cutouts is studied. The free vibration analysis is based on the finite element approach using Ansys. The functionally graded materials (FGMs) are assumed to be graded aross their thicknesses according to a power law distribution of the volume fractions and the Poissons ratio is taken as constant. Convergence study with respect to the number of nodes has been carried out and the results are compared with those from past investigations available in the literature. The effects of cutout, cutout size, volume fraction index, boundary conditions and thickness ratio on the natural frequencies is studied.
