A PLC DATABASE A SELECTION ENGINE FOR EFFECTIVE DEPLOYMENT OF PLCS

摘要

This paper presents the design considerations of a programmable logic controller (PLC) Database, which can be used for effective selection of PLCs and embedded microcomputers for process control and automation. It is a component of a software tool called Industrial Process Control Studio (IPCS) dedicated to industrial process control and automation. IPCS is organized in four major modules according to the criteria of modeling, supervision, humanmachine interfacing, and virtual representation.
