Therearemanymethodsforimprovementofperformanceofsemiconductorsolarcells(SC).OneofthemisthereductionofreflectancefromSCsurface.Forthispurposedifferenttypethin-filmcoatingsareused.SuchanapproachleadstoenlargementoftheabsorbedpartofsolarirradiationinthewholeopticalandnearIRregionswhenthecorrespondingantireflectioncoating(ARC)withappropriaterefractiveindex(n)andlayerthickness(d)ischosen.
