While diagnosed, during treatment and even after recoveryfrom the disease, the cancer patient faces various tensionsthat could reflect in their beliefs and behaviours whichcould also affect the further treatment processes. On theother hand, effective communication between patient anddoctoreven patients' f iles identifyerrors by theirtherapists,can increase the conf idence level of the patients which mayreduce stress while treatment. The aim of this study was toverify the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural dependentthe mental health of cancer patients, the residents ofradiotherapy - oncology in a small group. The study was thequasi-experimental typewhere thedatagathering tool wasaquestionnaire consisted of 12 questions to examine thecognitive errors. Results suggest that implementing theeducational programs, medical assistants can effectivelyidentify patients by therapists in their cognitive errors andimproving patient-physicianrelationship.
