Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of large and small air- ways.! Persistent allergic airway inflammation in small airways can cause the refractory disturbance of asthma control because conven- tional therapeutics, including a combination of inhalational cortico- steroids (ICS) and long-acting B2-agonists (LABAs), have difficulty in reaching those deep areas.
