U.S. Government Scientific and Technical Periodicals

The first and major section of this publication consists of an annotated bibliography of 266 government-published or -sponsored periodicals in science and technology. A wide-ranging group of periodicals is included: primary journals, review serials, indexing and abstracting services, and newsletters. The authors have chosen to interpret the term "government periodicals" as including "the output of grantees, contractors, and federally supported information analysis centers" as well as the periodical publications emanating from the various departments and agencies of the executive branch of the U.S. government.
