A drawback with plastic enclosures is they offer no EMC protection and although it is possible to coat plastic enclosures internally to provide differing degrees of EMC protection, this is generally a clear reason to select another material. However, high-quality plastic enclosures sourced from a reputable manufacturer are suitable for a myriad of projects. The manufacturer's ability to supply enclosures with proven IP, IK and flammability ratings to recognised standards, together with technical advice, additional technical information and reliable delivery, will ensure project success.
