Einstein once said that he'd spend 95% of his time thinking about a problem, and 5% coming up with a solution. The message is, the more you understand about a problem, the easier it becomes to find a solution. And this is ultimately the premise for multiphysics simulation.Done well it will yield detailed insight in to the highly complex interactions of multiple physical phenomena acting on and around an object. For example, mechanical, electrical, chemical and fluid flow can all be combined, so a battery, or fuel cell, that combines both electromagnetism and chemical reactions can be accurately modelled with its performance simulated.
