摘要

The photocatalytic process of TiO2/H2O2/UV, first, was applied to degrade tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) in aqueous system. Under the optimal conditions, the degrading efficiency of TBBPA reached 99.3% after 150 min when 120 W UV (0.42 mW/cm(2)), 3% H2O2, and 400 mg/L of 500 degrees C-calcined TiO2. During the photocatalytic degradation process, hydroxyl radicals (.OH) were considered to be the main reactive oxidative species involved in attacking TBBPA, and bromide ions generation with the conducting reaction. Moreover, five intermediates were detected by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, and a photocatalytic degradation pathway was proposed. The combination with excellent efficiency for TBBPA provided a potential technology for the treatment of TBBPA-contaminated wastewater or environments.
