Anyone who attended the mentor-protege luncheon held in conjunction with the NDTA-USTRASN-COM Fall Meeting was lucky enough to hear from a true American hero-Navy Captain Eugene "Red" McDaniel. For those of you who were unable to hear CAPT McDaniel speak, and even those that did, I recommend picking up a copy of his book, Scars and Stripes: The True Story of One Man's Courage Facing Death as a POW in Vietnam. It is a harrowing tale of courage, survival, and faith that is sure to inspire you.
