Towards transition

摘要

The development of security forces in Afghanistan is a challenge with which the international community has struggled for over eight years. These forces are crucial to the safety and security of a nation trying to stand on its own following 30 years of war. NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan (NTM-A) was activated in November 2009 to bring better cohesion to the efforts of various actors supporting the growth and development of the Afghan National Security Force (ANSF).
