The news that the UK and Kuwait have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on international security issues is extremely welcome. The Home Office has committed to close cooperation in many areas including counter-terrorism, drug smuggling and cybercrime.On the surface, this deal appears to be of limited relevance to the security industry. But the MoU promises to open up new opportunities for UK companies in Kuwait. What could this new agreement mean for British expertise in fighting cybercrime, the outlook of the UK security industry and the country's security export agenda?
