In today's financial climate there is a growing call for the efficient use of research budgets, particularly to avoid expensive duplication of effort. The obvious solution? Centralised information storage for quick and easy retrieval of all current and legacy MoD-funded science and technology (S&T) work. The critical factor here is determining the value of legacy research to today's defence community. Is it worth the time, effort and cost of its digitisation, storage and retrieval?
