The trouble with Canada

The dairy industries associations of Australia, the EU, Mexico, New Zealand and the US have jointly written an open letter on Canada because of the recent agreement between its dairy producers and processors, which is set to begin on 1 November if ratified, in the letter, associations such as the European Dairy Association and the US Dairy Export Council expressed concerns about the contravening of World Trade Organization (WTO) and NAFTA trade obligations, with the requirement that favours the substitution of Canadian domestic origin dairy ingredients for imported ones, and subsidises Canadian exports to "unfairly compete with our products in third country markets."
