STUDIES OF GENETIC SAFETY DEGREE IN URBAN POPULATION

It is well known that environmental factors affect people's health. Monitoring of genetic burden represents the most reliable method of evaluation of genetic processes in human population occupying contaminated environment. The present paper describes evaluation of safety in urban population. Congenital developmental defects as well as diseases characterized by congenital predisposition were considered. Frequencies of certain pathologies were compared for Kharkov and other European populations.
