MENDELIAN SEGREGATION DISTORTION. EFFECTS OF CYTOPLASMIC ORGANELLE GENOMES

摘要

The review is devoted to the phenomenon of distortion of the laws of Mendelian segregation in higher plants. The causes leading to bias in segregation for various morphological and molecular markers in hybrid populations are examined. The role of interaction of nuclear and cytoplasmic genomes of the plant cell as a factor directedly changing the frequency of transmitting certain nuclear alleles and influencing evolution and breeding processes is discussed.
