A pattern language, like the one proposed in this article, can help an organization transition from using one set of practices to manage products to using a networked set of practices. A metaphorical language acts as a mnemonic device to help people remember the names and meanings of patterns, such as Deep Roots. Relying on the mind's ability to process complexity through metaphors9 makes it possible to unify the solutions into a practicable whole. This pattern language can also be used to influence daily practice in every level of an organization.
