Rolling With The Bike Mobiles - Part Ii

This month's column continues our "show and tell" feature on bicycle mobiling, and we hope you find it helpful for learning about yet another area of amateur radio enjoyment. As I said in Part I last month, there is nothing quite like pedaling around the neighborhood on a summer day with a bike-equipped amateur radio setup working friends and DX from the park, a hilltop, or the countryside. It is perfect for "getting away from (to?) it all," especially when you work other unique mobiles such as airplanes and ships. Expensive? Only if you order a new super-deluxe mobile transceiver or delve into exotic bikes. Most folks start out the easy way, however, using an on-hand rig, antenna, and bicycle.
