The Arizona Section monthly meeting wasrnOct. 21, 2010, at Kitchell's Training Centerin Phoenix,rnAZ. The featured guest speaker; Scott Root, Directorrnof Virtual Construction for Kitchell Contractors, presented on, "Building Information Modeling" (BIM). He discussed BIM as a tool to manage multi-discipline information in order to facilitate practical solutions for project design and construction challenges. He laid emphasis on how BIM has become a major factor in not only managing 3D system coordination but also becoming integral in all phases of construction project - preconstruction through closeout. He also demonstrated how a 4D BIM schedule simulation can be used to communicate complex construction sequences and site logistics to all the project stakeholders.
