The children of deceased comic book artist Jack Kirby have served 45 copyright termination notices to Marvel Entertainment, Walt Disney and other film studios over comic book characters and stories created by their father. The plaintiffs claim rights to characters such as the X-Men and The Fantastic Four, currently owned by Marvel and licensed to various entertainment companies.
