Local builders tail car sales as workload falls

The latest official figures for newwork orders combined with this month's data from Glenigan paint a rosy picture for construction activity in the near future. On a rolling, annual basis, orders to March are up almost 8 per cent on the figure last year on the back of a strong rise in commercial, industry and infrastructure orders. Glenigan's figures for contracts awards show a sharp rise too, with contract awards in the commercial sector racing ahead.
