摘要

Iden Lock lies at the junction of the River Rother and the Royal Military Canal near Rye. Dating back to 1808, the lock and canal are Scheduled Ancient Monuments, built as a line of defence during the Napoleonic War, with the lock also Grade Ⅱ-listed. The project saw Amco replace the existing tilting weir, lifting mechanism and pumping system to improve energy efficiency and reduce health and safety risks.
