Contractors scoop £4bn London framework

Five contractors have bagged spots on all nine of the top-end regional lots of a major £4bn public sector framework agreement led by Haringey Council. Wates,Keepmoat Regeneration, Geoffrey Osborne, Lakehouse and Higgins were the only contractors appointed to all nine of the £5m-plus regional lots on the London Construction Programme's Major Works Construction Framework Agreement. The framework covers five London sub-regions and will be open to all 33 London authorities. Works that can be tendered through the framework range between £100,000-£999,999,£1m-£4.99m, and £5m-plus, with separate lots in each band for housing and education projects. Three others - Mace, Willmott Dixon and Kier - were selected for the high-value education lots.
